You’re probably confused. Why does someone need two ‘bucket lists’? Well, this list is meant to be a bit more motivating and short term than your typical list. The basic premise is to set 101 discrete behavioral goals to achieve in 1,001 days. The 1,001 bit seems a bit cheesy or hokey, because there’s no relation between the numbers 101 and 1,001 besides an extra zero. Anyway, go with it. I’ve decided to do my list just because I enjoy doing things like this. Some of these items (the first 22) are taken from my personal “50 Things To Do Before I Die”, at least ones that seemed feasible between today (December 1, 2010) and 1,001 days from now (August 28, 2013). Assuming the world lasts that long, check back for updates. Italics indicate that an item is in progress/planned.

So, how many of these can you cross off the list nowadays (a bit more than 90 days in)? I, too, would like to do some of these things. But my life is not my own until this damn dissertation is complete…hopefully before the world ends (LOL!) in 2012. Then, maybe, I could create my own 101 things to do! Good luck with these!
